How do I apply for an im domain name?
Administrative, Technical and Billing Contacts
If this is the first time you have applied for an im
domain you must register Administrative, Technical and Billing Contacts.
This need only be done once and the one Contact can act for all functions
. the Contact can then be used for any number of future domain
applications. Click here to register a new contact.
If you have previously registered your Contacts you can
proceed with the Domain Name Application. If you have forgotten your
Contact ID please contact info@nic.im.
Domain Name Application
You can reserve your domain name prior to providing the details of the primary and secondary domain name servers which will serve the domain (available from your Internet Service Provider). This information can then be submitted at a later date by email to info@nic.im
quoting the reserved domain name.
The domain name servers must be operational and
configured to serve the domain before the domain name can be activated.
After submitting an application it will be submitted to
the Naming Committee for consideration. The results of your application
will be sent to you by email to your administrative address. If the
name is approved payment must then be made within 30 days of the date of
this email. Failure to pay will result in the domain name no longer being
reserved and therefore potentially available to other parties. Click here
